The Agape Cares Program is the Community Service branch of Agape Children’s Museum and serves the Community in many different ways. The program builds on the mission of addressing important health, art, and literacy issues in our community. Agape Cares programs and volunteers work to provide endless hours of hands-on service to kids and families living, learning, and playing in communities within and around Greater Long Beach. Agape Cares was created on a foundation of strong partnerships with community organizations, which continue to positively influence children and families in our community. Agape Cares has partnered with various community groups in a joint effort to support projects and activities that enhance the community they serve. These critical and important partnerships provide many opportunities to address a variety of health, art, and literacy needs.

December during the holiday season with our local CHASE BANKS Agape collects new, unwrapped TOYS and distributes them to deserving families of children with autism through the charitable organization Hub City Autism of Greater South Bay. Last year over 300 toys were collected and given to families in the Greater South Bay Communities. Agape continues to Thank all participants in this Annual “Holiday Toy Drive tradition for Children with Autism. Throughout this period, we encourage as many as possible to help us meet our goal of having a holiday gift for each of the neediest children and their families affected by autism. The museum always welcomes the opportunity to partner with our local community business and financial institutions during this holiday season in working together to make a special effort to help brighten the holidays for deserving families of children of autism. Today, more children are diagnosed with Autism than AIDS, cancer, and diabetes combined. At the conclusion of the Toy Drive the Museum distributes the toys to deserving families of children with autism later on a special evening Gala Night affectionately called, “The Night of Giving”.
Agape Children’s Museum prides itself on forging partnerships with other organizations and participating in community events, educational outreach programs and traveling exhibits. Some of the annual events in which ACM has participated include the Kids in the Kitchen Festival, the Long Beach Unity and Arts Festival, the Millers Children’s Hospital’s Iwalk4Kids Marathon, and Children’s Day USA Festival.
