Lauren Nguyen, Joanne Richardson-Evans, and Thomas Phillips to be Honored at Red-Tie Event

Red Party Gala 2025

Hello friends of Agape Children’s Museum,

Agape Children’s Museum (ACM), is honored to bring back our annual museum fundraiser benefiting outreach and programs of the museum that serve children and their families in the greater Long Beach area Community.

We celebrate on Saturday, June 7th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Expo Art Center located on 4321 Atlantic Ave. Long Beach, CA 90806.

The night will be filled with fun, food and friendship as we celebrate our supporters, staff and community. This night will acknowledge our “2025 Heart for Kids Award.”  Agape Children’s Museum Heart For Kids Award honors an individual, corporation or foundation for their ongoing commitment and partnership to strengthening the museum’s mission towards children’s learning through play, and making outstanding contributions of time and/or investment to enrich the lives of children.  Ultimately, this effort strengthens and advance the interests of children and their families.

This year’s recipient of the Heart For Kids Community Individual Award is Assistant Principal Joanne Richardson-Evans, for her years of dedication, commitment and service to the children and families, of our community. Joanne first began her association with Agape Children’s Museum as an Assistant Principal at Bancroft Middle School and continues to support Agape with the Colin Powell Middle Cheer at Annual Festival and outreaches.

Senior Librarian Lauren Nguyen of Long Beach Public Library will also be honored in recognition of her continued commitment to the children and families of our community. Laura was instrumental in coordinating community programs for children in their neighborhood libraries.

The Museum will also honor Mayfair High School retiring band director Thomas Phillips with a lifetime community achievement award in recognition of a lifetime of dedicated service and outstanding contributions to the youth of Agape and our community.

This is a personal invitation for you to join us again for this premier Community event. The event begins with appetizers then a delicious dinner along with evening of dancing to the sounds of DJ Norman Pacheco. The evening is filled with entertainment, delicious food, and an impactful program sharing ACM’s mission and the partnerships we value in the community.

Much like all galas, there are plenty of opportunities to support our efforts by bidding on our incredible auction items.

Your generous donations will help us continue to Impact the children we serve.

Please RSVP to me directly at ve_pitts@yahoo.com by June 1st. We look forward to seeing you at the Red Party.
