A Special Message from the Founder
Dear Friend and Partner,
On behalf of the Board and Staff of Agape Children’s Museum (ACM) I would like to thank you for investing in our organization as well as for the children and families of our community. Since 2011 the museum has operated in its first phase as a “Museum without Walls”, forging partnerships with other organizations and participating in community events, educational outreach programs and traveling exhibits.
Some of the events in which ACM has participated include your Kids in the Kitchen Festival, the Long Beach Unity and Arts Festival, the Millers Children’s Hospital’s Iwalk4Kids Marathon, and Children’s Day USA Festival.
As a “museum without walls,” ACM reached thousands of kids and families last year alone. Some of the museum’s outreaches have been conducting carnivals, health fairs and summer camps for the children and families of Northpointe Community Housing in North Long Beach. In addition, the museum ends the year with a toy drive for children and families with autism which is sponsored by our Local CHASE banks.
Agape brings hands-on learning activities to thousands of children in our area, allowing us to fulfill our mission, to connect a love of learning in all children by providing unique opportunities to explore, create, and be inspired. We thank you for helping to make Phase II a reality which will be a 3,000-square-foot hands-on, interactive exploration center that will be called The Launch Zone.
I ask that you continue to work, together with me, the Agape Board of Directors, Advisory Board and committees and community members, to make this a journey you and your family will be able to remember and appreciate for years to come.
For the Children and their Families,
Vaughn Pitts, M.Ed
Founder and CEO
Our goal is to provide unique experiences that can enrich the lives of children and families. To that end we continue to work to make our museum a better and more exciting experience for our families, school groups, and program participants. We know you have lots of choices of whom to support, but we hope you will choose to make a difference in the lives of the children of Southern California.
