On Saturday September 29th, Agape teamed with the Michelle Obama Library to host the Annual Family Health Festival. Where we collaborated with local health & wellness providers and specialist to promote health awareness in the hopes motivating attendees to make healthy behavioral changes. The event drew over 200 Children and their families from Long Beach and surrounding communities and featured activities including free screenings, demonstrations surrounded by music and healthy food vendors.
This event would not be possible without the generous participation of those at the event. Special thanks to the 21 health & wellness vendors and professionals sharing their products and services. We also want to thank our student volunteers from Jordan High School (Long Beach) and Mayfair High School. Special thanks to talented 5th grade vocalist, Otara Faleanoa, of Colin Powell Elementary school in Long Beach. Thank you to all who supported this awesome event.
